Drawings are often precursors to Oil Paintings or Watercolours, they help work out composition, and they are a peaceful way to pass the time when travelling. Caroline takes great joy in observing people about their day to day lives. A favourite holiday pastime is sitting in a bar, with a drink, quietly sketching those around, capturing the mood before they move.

It’s fun to experiment on different surfaces, as a child I drew on anything I could get my hands on. I've included here some fun images I made on holiday in Corfu where there was an abundance of white stones on the beach. I left them on the beach for others to find.

Some created in 2023 for a project in conjunction with Ukrainian Artists displaced by the war. The effect of war on the Ukrainian people was explored. With drawings focusing on peace, despair, conflict etc. Prints of these were sold at an exhibition at The Silk Mill, Frome, Somerset in 2023 raising funds to continue the project and exhibiting in Poland. Some of the originals are still available.
